March of the Belgians

Watercolour painting of a long queue of people walking towards the horizon. Among them is a panicked lady trying to get the attention of her neighbours. Among the people there are: a young lady making pastry, a rotund man in barbecue gear, a middle-class man whistling and jingling his car keys, an eco-conscious lady wearing harlem pants.

Me trying to find my place and make sense of Belgian society, whilst everyone is moving forward without questioning the final destination. A few Belgian stereotypes are represented in more details. You can see the hat of a Gilles sticking out on the other side of the queue. The other bit of hat and rifle sticking out belong to a participant of the Marches of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, a set of folk processions some Belgians seem to live for.
