Keeping busy until death

Watercolour painting of a fake book cover. The book is entitled 'Keeping busy until death'. A couple of young people are excited about an upcoming gig. The outlines of gardning implements, of a knitting kit, and of a bike can be seen in the background. Other copy reads 'Crafts, car boot sales, public events and other ideas to mask the futility of my existence'.

Spoof cover of a Marabout Flash guide. These guides were very popular in Belgium in the 60's and 70's and covered light subjects such as 'Entertaining guests', and 'DYI around the house'.
This one is entitled "Je m'occupe avant la mort", i.e. "Keeping busy until death". Other copy reads "Crafts, car boot sales, public events and other ideas to mask the futility of my existence."
