The talent juicer

Watercolour painting of a huge machine. Tatenled people enter on one side, a pile of bones comes up the other side. The machine is made of four 'modules', one contains a business man with dollars in their eyes, another contains a nest with hungry chicks (that represents the fans), the next one contains journalists and critics, the last contains rows of haters typing away at their laptop.

I feel for these artists, athletes and other public figures who come to the world with amazing talent. Those that only aspire to do what they love and do best, but simply do it a bit too well. If fate will have it, they do get noticed and rewarded for their efforts through wealth and fame.
A whole business and social machine is in place to enable them but that machine really is "programmed" to squeeze as much as possible out of their passion. Out of that gem that they carry inside and that no one teaches them how to manage.
This takes place out in the open for celebrities. It also happens more discreetly in many of our workplaces.
